Since I sell a tax-related product on the web, I'm always on the lookout for advertising opportunities in ezines that are promoted to my target market. That's how I ran across Wayne Davies, his "Make Your Life Less Taxing" newsletter, and eventually his Small Business Tax Reduction Toolkit.
Let me say right off the bat that I think that Wayne—a tax professional in Indiana—is making a mistake by marketing this product only to small business owners and self-employed people. Yes, it's true that only business owners (I'll lump those that are self-employed in there) will benefit from the Tax Reduction Toolkit, but I'm pretty darn sure that Wayne would increase his prospects—not to mention sales of the Toolkit—if he would point out that these strategies and their results are a powerful incentive to start your own business.
Why? Because as a business owner, you pay taxes last. As a wage earner, you earn money, pay taxes on it, and spend the rest. But as a business owner, you earn money, spend it on business expenses, and pay taxes on what's left over. And the Tax Reduction Toolkit shows you how to properly structure your expenses so that they are tax deductible.
Assuming you have started a business, whether out of your home or downtown, the Tax Reduction Toolkit will point you to 29 strategies that will help you lower your taxes. Wayne calls these "loopholes," but I think that just serves to drive off more prospects. For Pete's sake, the IRS has rules allowing you to do this, so why call them "loopholes"? You're not "getting away with" something—the IRS says you can do it!

So, the question is, "Do these 29 tax reduction strategies work?" Absolutely! I'm a home-based business owner—office equipment service and supplies, since 1988 -- and I've been using many of Wayne's strategies to legally lower my taxable income by thousands of dollars for years. And I'm not even using all of the strategies yet!
Are all of these strategies going to work for you? Probably not. But what I like about the Tax Reduction Toolkit is that Wayne makes it simple for you to understand each strategy and pick those that will work for you. Wayne will even answer any questions you have about using the strategies in your specific situation. Included with the Toolkit are certificates for a telephone consultation with Wayne and reviews of up to four tax returns.

But that's not the only incentive in the Toolkit. Wayne includes several "reports" and separate PDFs that I think, frankly, are just fluff. If you're someone that has to justify this purchase based on appearances ("Wow! Look at all I get with this!"), then maybe those will do it. For the rest of us, all we need is this: Wayne's personal guarantee that you will save a minimum of $2,000 if you will use his strategies -- or your money back.
My Take?
Given the easy-to-understand information, Wayne's telephone and email consultations, and his $2,000 guarantee, I don't think you can go wrong with the Tax Reduction Toolkit.
